The Royal Air Force Museum London, based at Hendon, houses over a hundred historic aircraft. These aircraft ranges from the Milestones of Flight Collection, the Battle of Britain Collection, the Bomber Command Collection, the Historic Hangars Collection etc. I would definitely advise going to this Museum, especially as they don't charge for admission. The museum has been running since the late 1950's.

The main hangar houses probably one of the finest military aircraft collections in the world. . In total the Museum has 200 aircraft at Hendon and lots more at its other sites (such as Cosford). For me the most impressive exhibition is the Blitz and Battle of Britain display held in Bomber Command Hall. Other exhibitions worth noting are displays of british and commonwealth military uniforms and medals (some worn by legendary famous military figures!)

The website contains some of clips and pictures from my trip.
